CARPENTER TECHNICIANS for Charlottetown

The Opportunity

Heritage Grade is seeking experienced Carpenter Technicians in Charlottetown, PEI to join a team
working on a high-profile heritage restoration project.

Qualifications

• Minimum (2) years experience within the heritage restoration or construction industries
• Certification preferable but will consider apprentices
• Able to assist in all woodshop duties
• Able to read and analyze technical /construction drawings
• Able to follow instructions and work independently as well as on a team
• Able to lift 50lbs without difficulty
• Knowledge of job site safety rules and regulations (Occupational Health and Safety)  Must be reliable, punctual, highly organized
• The ability to successfully pass a criminal check to obtain a security clearance may be a requirement for future projects
• The ability to relocate for future projects is an asset

Job Details

Employment type: 6-month full-time contract, with the possibility of extension. The anticipated start date is June 7, 2021.

Pay Range: Between $20.00-$25.00 per hour, based on experience/qualifications.

Qualifications 

  • Minimum (1) years experience within the heritage restoration or construction industries
  • Certification preferable but will consider apprentices
  • Experience with woodshop machinery and tools
  • Able to assist in all woodshop duties
  • Able to work outside of Ottawa 
  • Able to read and analyze technical /construction drawings
  • Able to follow instructions and work independently as well as on a team
  • Able to lift 50lbs without difficulty
  • Knowledge of job site safety rules and regulations (Occupational Health and Safety)
  • Must be reliable, punctual, highly organized
  • Must be able to obtain a PWGSC security clearance
